That Little Shop is a small boutique in Walsall, near Birmingham. I approached the owner on several occasions, in regards to creating an online presence for the shop - my fiancé was / is obsessed with the place! After many emails, the owner decided it was time to take the shop further, after realising the potential of an online presence, through sales made on eBay.

After the initial design period, the owner wanted to go live for Christmas 2007, and was presently suprised when the sales increased week after week, and well into the new year.

Sales are continuing to grow, and 2008 sees a start to focusing the business to it's online shop, and begin advertising the products available.

XMA Value Added Services

XMA Value Added Services & Solutions
Quote OpenThe key to selling Value Added Services is to understand at what stage your customer is, within the life cycle of their systems and equipment. Once this has been established you can offer the correct services to match their needs.Quote Closed

XMA (Computer Products) Limited, reside in Nottingham and have been around for over 20 years - of those 20 years, I've been working there for 5+ years, and grabbed at the opportunity of creating their VASS Knowledgebase.

The VASS (Value Added Services & Solutions) Knowledgebase, is an internal sales website, to allow them to easily advise customers on the services XMA offer, and the prices that they offer them at.

The site is split into sections and sub-sections, and includes a full site search to allow staff to quickly find what they need. Also included are case studies on services provided in the past, and dynamic forms to allow the sales person to send pre-set information to the Business Solutions team.

Unfortunately, due to this being an internal and price sensitive website, this isn't available for public viewing.

CKY is a US rock band, famous for the music of the worldwide hit TV program, Jackass.

Back in 2002, at the peak of CKY's career, their fan club, The Alliance, was mainly based and provided for the US fans. Being a big fan of CKY at the time, I started CKY Alliance UK - the Official UK fan site for CKY.

With over 5250 members (compared to the 6900 fans on the US site), the UK Alliance was a massive hit, not only with UK fans, but with European fans as well. The site showed the band how many fans they had across the globe, and soon they were flying over to the UK to tour the venues and meet the UK Alliance members.

After many tours, and even being personally invited to see the band play a one-off Halloween show in Philadelphia, PA, USA, the site is still going strong with the UK fans, although the band has unfortunately seen better days.

Proud To Have Met You are a brilliantly funky band from Leicester, who I approached through a friend of a friend in 2005, as my second site development for a client.

Before MySpace and other social networking sites took off, PTHMY wanted a site to show off their talent, and keep fans up to date with gigs, tours and an online gallery.

The site includes a profile for each member, gig calendar, picture gallery, guestbook and links page - all of which are editable by the band, through admin pages.

However, as part of the band winning a Battle Of The Bands contest, they were provided with a website from a local specialist - they were soon disappointed with the other company's site, and moved to MySpace (the latest craze and mass exposure site at the time).

The band have recently come back from being on a hiatus, and I am currently in talks with them in regards to a new website, using my improved knowledge of design and development to develop a fully band-editable site.

.BreakTheSky. is a thrash metal band, from London, who wanted an online presence to help advertise their music.

Back in 2004, this was one of the first sites I created for a client, but I'm still pleased with the end results, ranging from the Flash menu and animated backdrop, to the site-integrated forum.

Unfortunately, at the start of a site revamp (V2) the band split up, but I still keep the site archived for future referring.
